Considering that a fundamental discrepancy subsists between the Report of the Special Committee on Agriculture and the Counter-Proposal which was submitted simultaneously with it, a discrepancy which the Committee was unable to overcome,
Considering that some way or other of reconciling these two conceptions can surely be found, provided it be sought on a wider plane and take into account the conference which is to take place at the invitation of the French Government;
Considering that this programme necessitates the establishment of a permanent committee and a fusion of the Sub-Committee on Food and Agriculture (Sub-Committee of the Committee on Economic Questions) with the Special Committee on Agriculture;
Decides to establish a Committee on Food and Agriculture composed of 18 members.
Decides that the following therefore be added to Rule 38, Paragraph 1, of the Rules of Procedure :
(g) Committee on Food and Agriculture. "
