The Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities remains the most comprehensive and relevant treaty for any issue relating to the rights of persons belonging to national minorities. Serbia being a Party to the Framework Convention is subject to the monitoring of the Advisory Committee. The Committee of Ministers considers and discusses regularly all the opinions of the Advisory Committee on the implementation of the Framework Convention by the Republic of Serbia, including the use of languages and, where relevant, freedom of religion. This written question has been drawn to the attention of the Advisory Committee for its possible consideration.
