The Assembly,
Whereas, during the night of 23rd-24th November 1961, four French officials on temporary mission in the United Arab Republic and enjoying exemption from civil and criminal jurisdiction have been arrested by the authorities of that Republic and have since been detained and brought to trial ;
Whereas this action is contrary to the practice of States and the general rules of International law and to the special agreements concluded between the United Arab Republic and France,
Protests against the action taken by the Government of the United Arab Republic and demands that it halt proceedings and immediately set at liberty the officials concerned so that they may return to their country of origin.
