Conference in Helsinki on the effects of artificial intelligence on human rights, democracy and the rule of law

PACE President Liliane Maury Pasquier participates in a conference in Helsinki on 26-27 February, organised by the Council of Europe and the Finnish Presidency of the Committee of Ministers, on the theme “Governing the Game Changer – Impacts of artificial intelligence development on human rights, democracy and the rule of law”. She will speak at the opening of the second day alongside the Finnish Minister of Justice.

The aim of the Conference is to engage in a discussion on how to address AI development to maximise benefits for society and minimise risks to human rights, democracy and the rule of law.

The event will bring together high-level experts from governments, international organisations, business, technology, academia and researchers, civil society and the media, and will be live streamed.
