1. In accordance with Rule 6 of the Rules of Procedure, the Committee responsible for the examination of credentials examined those of the new Representatives and Substitutes appointed to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe as a result of general elections or resignations.

2. Austria, Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany and Turkey have transmitted new credentials certified by their Ministers for Foreign Affairs.

a Austria, which had only one Substitute during the first part-Session, has now brought its number of Substitutes up to six.

b Denmark has appointed M. Victor Gram as Substitute in place of M. Poul Hansen, who has resigned.

c The Federal Republic of Germany has appointed M. Jacobs as Substitute to replace M. Trittelvitz, who has resigned.

d Turkey has appointed M. Bozbag as full member in place of M. Mandalinci, who has resigned.

4. The seat left vacant by the death of M. Perrier has not yet been filled. The total membership of the present Assembly is therefore 137 instead of the statutory 138.

5. No objection having been raised, the Committee unanimously proposes that the Assembly confirm the validity of the appointment of the following Representatives and Substitutes :
