Monsieur le Président,

Considering the requests made b y the Governments of Belgium, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands and Norway to increase b y one the number of their Representatives in the Consultative Assembly,
Approves the following text for the amendment of Article 26 of the Statute :
" Article 26 shall be worded as follows :
Members shall be entitled to the number of Representatives given below :
Belgium - 7
Denmark - 5
France - 18
Germany (Federal Republic) - 18
Greece - 7
Iceland - 3
Ireland - 4
Italy - 18
Luxembourg - 3
Netherlands - 7
Norway - 5
Saar - 3
Sweden - 6
Turkey - 10
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - 18
Under paragraph (d) of Article 42 of the Statute, this Amendment may take effect when it has been similarly approved by the Consultative Assembly.
May I also inform you that the Second Supplementary Report of the Committee of Ministers to the Consultative Assembly, of 22nd September, 1951, contains a Resolution which also proposes to amend Article 26 of the Statute.
Should the Consultative Assembly approve the Amendment proposed in the Resolution of 23rd November, the Amendment contained in the Second Supplementary Report of the Committee of Ministers would become redundant.
I am, Monsieur le President,
With great truth and respect, Your most obedient, humble servant,
J.-C. PARIS
Secretary- General.
