Explanatory note
The Kúria ruled that it is not illegal for NGOs to encourage people to invalidate their votes in the referendum, therefore there were no fines imposed.

Explanatory note
Earlier, Klubrádió repeatedly violated provisions of the MediaAct, which is why Media Council didn’t extend the right to provide media services. The case was investigated by Hungarian authorities and courts. Recently, TilosRádió submitted a re-application for FM90.3 frequency. Having met the legal requirements, they won the tender and will continue to operate.

"The Council of Europe recognizes that Hungary, as the result of the dialogue based on cooperation with the EU Commission, accepted with a large parliamentary majority 17 modifications of different laws in September 2022. These laws further improved the functioning of democratic institutions by strengthening the transparency of the legislative process by requiring public dialogue and consultation, tightening the rules on conflict of interests in public trust funds and setting up an independent anti-corruption authority."
