Having adopted Resolution 722 (1980), Convinced that the pace of technological development in data processing and telecommunications should be matched by effective national and international legislation to protect the rights and interests of citizens, and in particular the right to privacy in accordance with Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights,

Instructs its Political Affairs Committee and its Committee on Migration, Refugees and Demography to arrange a colloquy, in 1980 or 1981, on the situation of human rights in Latin America and related refugee problems.
