PACE President makes official visit to Tunisia
Strasbourg, 07.01.2011 – Mevlüt Çavusoglu, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), will be paying an official visit to Tunisia from 10-12 January 2011.
In Tunis he will hold talks with Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi, the President of the Chamber of Advisers Abdallah Kallel, the President of the Chamber of Deputies Fouad Mebazaâ, Foreign Affairs Minister Kamel Morjane and the Minister for Development and International Co-operation Mohamed Nouri Jouini. He will also meet with Deputies from the majority and the opposition, as well as a group of students.
In an April 2010 resolution the Assembly reasserted its keen interest in enhancing dialogue and co-operation with the countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region, including at a parliamentary level. Mr Çavusoglu made an official visit to Morocco from 19 to 22 December 2010.
