Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly President Anne Brasseur met today with the Speaker of the Russian State Duma, Sergey Naryshkin, together with the leaders of the Parliamentary Assembly’s political groups.
Recalling that in June 2014 the Assembly had decided to suspend the Russian delegation’s voting rights and not its right to participate, the PACE President considered this high-level meeting as an “important step in relations” between PACE and its Russian interlocutors.
