PACE monitoring co-rapporteurs to make fact-finding visit to Montenegro

Kimmo Sasi (Finland, EPP/CD) and Terry Leyden (Ireland, ALDE), co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for the monitoring of Montenegro, will make a fact-finding visit to the country from 16 to 18 November 2014 to discuss the implementation of the Assembly’s latest resolution. They will also pay a visit to the Konik camps to assess the situation of refugees and IDPs.

Meetings are scheduled in Podgorica with the President of the Republic, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of justice, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Information Society, the Minister of Human and Minority Rights, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare.

The co-rapporteurs will also meet the delegation of Montenegro to PACE, the leaders of the political factions of the majority and the opposition, as well as representatives of high judicial authorities, the Supreme State Prosecutor, bodies specialised in the anti-corruption fight, and representatives of international organisations, medias and NGOs.
