"The Lake", a striking video produced by PACE with the aim of encouraging children who suffer sexual abuse to seek help, has been selected among the finalists for the European Association of Communications Agencies “Care Awards” in the category Government and Non-Profit, with the prize-winner to be announced during the Care Awards ceremony in June in Brussels.
Created by French film-director Roland Edzard, the video graphically illustrates – in the surroundings of an apparently happy family picnic – the psychological pressure that family abusers can apply to their victims.
16 social marketing campaigns from 12 countries have been shortlisted for the final judging round of the 2015 EACA "Care Awards" and will be judged by a panel of agency professionals and media representatives.
The main aim of the EACA "Care Awards" is to highlight the advertising industry’s specific contribution to society by selecting and celebrating the most powerful and relevant social marketing campaigns. The EACA "Care Awards" cover subjects such as public health, environment, sustainable consumption, public safety, disability, human rights, domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, education and other similar topical public issues.
